These pages are really the platform for the entire final book. We introduce the backstory, the stakes, and the decisive moment when Theseus chooses to take on this task.
Volume 3, unlike Volumes 1-2, is not episodic. For this one, in order to cover the story of the minotaur effectively, I felt it was best to do a continuous arc —though you will see that each chapter is thematically separated.
I confess, I started this series as a lark. But the further I went in, the more I saw an opening to treat this comedic version with a little bit more reverence than I originally intended. And that meant serious moments started to naturally come up as Theseus began to grow as a character.
This, as far as I’m concerned, is a watershed moment.
Other Work
I’ve been sinking a lot of time into a second project, trying to wrap it up this fall. Here’s a page featuring a medieval helmet and a wandering moth.
Don’t forget you can pick up more copies of Theseus Vol 1 & 2 at carthageproject.com. Get that Christmas shopping done early.
Also you can see me selling wares and signing books at the Cleveland, TN Geekster on September 23.
Until next time.
